Before you even choose a subject or market sector to promote, even before you think of domain names I urge you to read a guide on what the Affiliate Marketing Business is all about.

There are plenty to choose from:

Some are written in a chatty friendly style that encourages you along. Others are written in a more business like manner that cut out the 'smiley' faces and just give you the hard facts.

Further more some guides deliver the information in an on online ebook that you can read from the screen or even print out, others teach using online videos that let you virtually 'look over their shoulder' and, as they talk you through, you can see what they are doing on screen.

What they all have in common is that they offer solid, truly workable affiliate business models that will, if you put in the time and effort, build successful affiliate marketing businesses.

I have personally read and used all of the guides that I recommend, some work better for certain online businesses than others.

The affiliate business is all about 'PreSell'. This is the process of preparing the visitors to your website to visit your merchants website and buy the product or service.

In essence your affiliate website's success will stand or fall on the quality of your 'PreSell' in other words the quality of your content and it's ability to convince the visitor to 'Click the link'.

Many new to the affiliate marketing business, and a fair number who've been in it for some time find this the most difficult skill to develop.

I like writing but I turned to a number of different books and courses on how to write great affiliate website copy to turn my visitors into 'Action Takers'.

Last Words

I've never looked back. Though it's been a struggle at times and there have been some flops, I now generate regular monthly checks from all manner of online businesses by simply promoting other people's goods and services.

Yes I've worked very hard whilst trying to find the right way to do things, and I still work hard when I need to, but the work is rewarding both emotionally and financially.

I can't promise that you'll earn millions doing just one hour a day... like some snake-oil salesmen tell you.
